“Masterful songwriting" The AU Review

“If you don't mind the hairs on your neck tingling" Dave Ruby Howe - Triple J

Thom Lion Packs a musical punch, like Phoenix having a barbecue at Paul Kelly’s house. The beers are on, the songs are catchy, and each song tells a moving story. With his drummer Troy Rapscallion in tow, Thom has has played alongside acts from The Rubens to Rob Thomas, gained national airplay on Triple J to Triple M, Triple R, MTV and everything in between.

The live show is dynamic, and they combine emotionally charged indie chants with rhythms that make you feel. Having now spent the last year in the studio honing a fresh collection of songs, they’re ready to release the feel good – Not Your Bfrnd this April.

In a time when divorce parties are all the rage, Not Your Bfrnd invites you in for a dance as Thom tee’s off with heart and humour. Not to mention one of the catchiest choruses you’ll hear this year!
“I wrote it in a really sombre state, really trying to find escapism in anything” says Thom, “and unexpectedly it evolved into super fun song!”

Produced by the legendary John Castle (Cub Sport, Jack River) you can hear Thom Lion’s new single on Apple, Spotify or anywhere you listen to music from April 24. With tour dates Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide postponed due to that bloody Corona thing - you’ll get the chance can see their critically acclaimed live show as soon as they can legally hit the road again!
